Crash Jams Jericho Turnpike

Two drivers taken to Huntington Hospital Wednesday after Huntington collision.

A two-car collision Wednesday afternoon sent both drivers to the hospital and snarled traffic along East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington.

The crash happened at about 1 p.m. just west of Park Ave. The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to the scene and needed to extricate one of the divers from the damaged vehicle.

According to emergency responders, both drivers were transported by the Huntington Community First Aid Squad to Huntington Hospital with serious injuries.

Both westbound lanes and one eastbound lane were closed for more than an hour, disrupting traffic along Jericho Turnpike.
