Police: Woman Robs Huntington Station Bank

The robbery occurred Thursday afternoon, police said.

Suffolk County police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon in Huntington Station.

Detectives say a woman entered the Citibank at 300 Walt Whitman Road at 12:13 p.m. and approached a teller with a note demanding cash and threatening that she had a gun.

The teller complied with the demand and gave the woman cash from the drawer. The woman fled the bank in heading north, police said.

The robber is described as white, approximately 5-foot-4, 25-years-old, with dark colored hair and a thin build. She was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark sunglasses, according to police.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
