3 Injured in Jericho Turnpike Crash

Pickup truck and 2 other vehicles involved.

Three men were injured, one seriously, in a three-car crash on Jericho Turnpike Friday afternoon.

Suffolk County police said a pickup truck leaving a lot at 390 East Jericho Turnpike, near Melville Road, tried to turn west, crossing the eastbound lanes. That truck collided with a Ford Explorer, which in turn rolled over a Honda.

The Huntington Community First Aid squad said an 18-year-old man in the Ford Explorer was Medevaced from a Walt Whitman Mall lot to Stony Brook University Medical Center in serious condition.  Another man in the Explorer was taken to Huntington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. And a man in the Honda was also taken to Huntington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The squad reported having three ambulances on scene.

The man in the pickup truck was not injured.
