I would like to see term limits for the supervisor and town board members.
A new resolution should call for each elected official to serve a maximum of two (3) year terms separated by a one year 'cooling off' period. These positions are 'public service' not career oriented.
Further, the Highway Superintendent, Town Clerk and Receiver of Taxes should be appointed by the Supervisor with confirmation by the town board. Our current members have served multiple terms and it is time for a changing of the guard.
