Why Are People Driving With so Many Suspensions?

A Fishkill woman was charged with doing just that on the Southern State Parkway Monday. What’s wrong with the law?

Police pulled over a vehicle last week on the Southern State Parkway and smelled alcohol.

They said the driver was intoxicated. Police said they determined the woman had more than 10 prior suspensions of her driver’s license. She faces a wide range of charges.

But how is that even possible? How can someone get behind the wheel with that many offenses on her record?

What’s wrong with the system? What's wrong with some people?

What would you do to change it, if you could?
