Huntington Train station Crosswalk

So today at 8:02 a man was struck by a car and knocked off his feet at the cross walk coming from the overflow parking lot heading to the train.  The one thing I find ironic is that for the past few months there is a crossing guard who sits in here car all day.

who pays her salary?  This poor old man was hit and took his legs out from underneath human and hit the drivers hood and rolled off.  It took the crosswalk person a few minutes to even get out of the car to see if the man was alright.

That is a dangerous intersection however why have a crossing guard if they aren't there to help avoid these situations.
