Services Friday for 2 Fire Victims

Huntington Station organization collecting funds to help family.

Services are scheduled Friday for the mother and daughter killed in a house fire last week.

Rosemary Martinez, 29, and her mother, Reyna Paris, 64, died when their Fourth Avenue house caught fire late Thursday night. Paris's son, Joseph Martinez, escaped the blaze. 

Visitation is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the A. L. Jacobsen Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hugh of Lincoln Roman Catholic Church.

Attorney Xavier Palacios said the Huntington Station Friends of Latin Quarter is collecting donations for funeral, burial and ongoing expenses. HSLQ is a recognized 501(c) non-profit organization. One hundred percent of all proceeds will be donated.

Donations can be made via check payable to Friends of Huntington Station Latin Quarter notating Paris/Martinez in memo section. Checks may be mailed to:
