Would You Do the Right Thing?

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt you should intervene but did not because something held you back?

Perhaps it was a parent verbally abusing a child or a man trying to beat a woman over blame for a car accident.

If you restrained yourself, do you know why? Was it the presence of others who also fail to act, a situation known as the bystander effect, the phenomena of the bigger the crowd, the less likely an individual will respond?

Was it concern about harm to yourself or the lack of sureness about what you're seeing? Perhaps the willingess of others to act affected your decisions.

With "What Would You Do?" taped in Huntington last week and scheduled to be shown next month on ABC, we'll see local residents and their responses to two difficult, albeit posed, scenarios.
