Five things you need to know today.

1. "Strike Up The Band!": Join Musical Director Tom Gellert and the Huntington Community Band as they open their 67th season of summer concerts as part of the Summer Arts Festival in . Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

2. South Bay Steps Up Patrols: Marine police plan to step up patrols of the Great South Bay following a weekend that included a fatal boat , in which a Dix Hills man was arrested and charged with boating while intoxicated.

3. St. Anthony's Family Feast & Festival: New rides and games provided by Newton Shows, international foods, and Las Vegas games in the cool air-conditioned casino. Spectacular Salute to America fireworks display by Bay Fireworks Wednesday and Saturday at dusk (rain dates Thursday and Sunday). Nightly Entertainment: Wednesday - Rock & Roll with The Heartland Band featuring local vocalist Barbara Cordts. Runs from 6–11 p.m. at  East Northport Campus.

4. Fundraiser for Stephen Labate with Special Guest Steve Malzberg: Fundraiser to support the candidacy of Stephen A Labate with special guest speaker renowned talk show host Steve Malzberg. 7 p.m. at Larkfield Manor. $125. 

5. Cash Mob: Meet at "Bottles and Cases" for the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce's new trend in “Buying Local” which is designed to support local businesses throughout Huntington. The "Bottles and Cases" Cash Mob will take place at their store at 99 East Main St. on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. There will be free wine and spirit tastings plus appetizers.
