Five Things Going on This Weekend

Free heart screenings for youth; Victor Cruz.

1. Live Music At Huntington Social: presents live classic rock by Old School. Enjoy "unplugged-style" tunes from the 60's, 70's and beyond. Showtime: Friday at 10 p.m. 

2. High School Play: The Drama Club presents the classic, "Little Women." Showtimes: Friday at 7:30 pm.; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. $10 general admission; $5 students/staff/seniors.

3. Victor Cruz In Town: Meet New York Giants wide receiver, Victor Cruz at the store in Huntington for an autograph signing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Call store at 631-424-1796 to pre-purchase tickets to guarantee an autograph. Admission $95.

4. Free Youth Heart Screenings at Whitman High School: The goal of this collaborative effort is to increase awareness about sudden cardiac arrest in youth. Open to all students ages 12-24. Screening will consist of a heart health survey, heartsounds physical, ECG and Echocardiogram. Registration required. Runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

5. Got Talent? Long Island: Several are among 30 of Long Island's most talented aspiring artists who will take the stage Friday at Dix Hills Performing Arts Center, Five Towns College. Winner gets a prize package including $1000, an opening performance at the 47th Annual Huntington Summer Arts Festival and a $2,000 scholarship. Tickets $30-45. The show begins at 7:30 pm.
