Family Service League Gets $37K Grant From United Way

Money to be used in support of youth services.

The Family Service League in Huntington was recently awarded a $37,465 grant from United Way of Long Island in support of a wide array of services for youth.

In Suffolk County,  offers mental health, educational and recreational programs designed to “keep kids on track.” Services address academic achievement, family issues including social and emotional development, according to the organization. 

United Way of Long Island awarded 109 grants to local nonprofit agencies, totaling $1,390,405 for the 2012 year.
