Join the Huntington School District on Facebook and Twitter

More and more followers are joining the Huntington School District on Facebook and Twitter. The district moved into the world of social media about six months ago and quickly gained an audience that continues to grow.

While Huntington’s website (www.hufsd.edu) is seen by many to be the “gold standard” for district websites across Long Island and New York State, school officials are aware that students, parents, alumni and the community at-large seeks information through a variety of technological platforms.

To find the Huntington School District’s Twitter page go to www.twitter.com/hufsd. The district hopes to eventually have several thousand Twitter followers.

The district has established Facebook posting guidelines to prevent abuse. A copy of the guidelines can be found on Huntington’s Facebook page itself. Those posting items will be held to a high standard.
