Huntington Parents Invited to Meet the Teacher Nights

Parents of Huntington School District students are invited to attend “Meet the Teacher Night” in each of the district’s eight buildings beginning Wednesday, September 25. The evening programs will provide parents with an opportunity to meet teachers and learn more about school policies, course curriculum, educational resources and teacher philosophies.

“Meet the Teacher Night” is an important evening for parents and principals and teachers plan informative and interesting programs. Parents will be given a clear understanding of how teachers go about educating their students as well as their expectations and general classroom policies and practices.

“I can think of little that is more important to a child’s education than the school-home connection,” Superintendent James W. Polansky said. “These events represent a great way to solidify that connection as we move forward in 2013/14.  I look forward to seeing many parents at each school and to a series of productive and informative evenings.”
