HHS Students Net LI Science Congress Awards

The Long Island Science Congress recognized ten Huntington High School science research students, including graduating senior Frank Yeh, who received high honors during the senior division awards night held at The Wheatley School in Old Westbury.

The LI Science Congress provides a forum for an exhibit of adjudicated science projects by Nassau and Suffolk middle school, junior high school and senior high school students. Sponsored by the LI section of the Science Teachers Association of New York State, the LI Science Congress was founded in 1950 under the umbrella of the NYS Science Teachers Association and The Nassau Daily Review-Star newspaper.

“The research program rounded out the year with more proud moments from our students’ competition at the Long Island Science Congress,” said Lori Kenny a Huntington science teacher who heads the high school research program.
