Matt Scarpati was fixing his bicycle when he was struck and killed in July 2009 by a drunken motorcyclist on the Wantagh Parkway.
His family recently placed a statue to the Half Hollow Hills East graduate at Cedar Creek Park. Sculptor Michael Alfano created the Celebrate Life work.
