Billy Baldwin Visits to Accept $32G Check for Breast Cancer Research

The Northport Cow Harbor United Soccer Club raised the funds during its Columbus Day Weekened Tournament,

Billy Baldwin turned up in Northport Saturday to accept a $32,000 check from the Northport Cow Harbor United Soccer Club to support the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, of which he serves as president. 

The money was raised during the soccer club's Columbus Day Weekend Tournament, which featured 320 teams.

Through the sale of pink socks, club donations for every team registered, private donations, and help from The NY Red Bulls and Cosmos Soccer Team raised the $32,000.

Teaming up with the Town of Huntington, Northport School District, Harborfields School District, Huntington School District and South Huntington School Districts, the tournament was able to utilize 75 fields across the Town of Huntington.

Baldwin's mother, Carol, founded the organization in 1996.

This is the second year the soccer club has donated to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund through the tournament.
