Save Long Island Monthly Event: The Insanity of the War on Drugs and Why it Must End

http://www.meetup.com/SavelongIsland/events/136163242/

*Note our new Day at the South Huntington Library --our meetings will resume this year on the first Tuesday of the month!

South Huntington Library: 145 Pidgeon Hill Road, South Huntington

We've been told for decades that drugs are bad and that 'The War on Drugs' is a necessity in stopping the use & sale of them. But, as time has shown us, the war on drugs has made the situation it was created to stop worse--far worse. The budgets of law enforcement agencies to fight drugs has increased exponentially since the days of the drug wars beginnings, but so have to profits to the drug dealers, pushers & cartels. The drug war has been a disaster and it needs to end as, no matter which side of the drug issue you are on, it's time for us to see and admit that what is being done now to win this 'war', has failed beyond all hope of recovery.
The plain truth is, the War on Drugs isn't being lost--it's over, and the drugs won. That's why, on this night, you need to come see what we're going to show you as it will make this point very, very clear.
The film we're going to show is the stark and unflinching 'How To Make Money Selling Drugs'

From Rotten Tomatoes: 'A shockingly candid examination of how a street dealer can rise to cartel lord with relative ease, How to Make Money Selling Drugs is an insider's guide to the violent but extremely lucrative drug industry. Told from the perspective of former drug dealers, and featuring interviews with rights advocates Russell Simmons, Susan Sarandon, and David Simon (creator of "The Wire"), the film gives you the lessons you need to start your own drug empire while exposing the corruption behind the "war on drugs."

Don't miss this film as it's going to tell in in ten easy steps how you, or more importantly, your child, can make money being a drug dealer...unless of course, we get wise to the fact that what we've been doing to stop this (let's just say) unconventional career choice isn't working and needs to seriously change.
