Opera Night Cafe

During most of the
19th century, music was performed in parlours or in the living rooms of the
elite. This intimate setting which pre-dated stereos, turntables, cds and large
concert halls, was the way the great composers showcased their masterpieces.
Opera Night's beginning was a serendipitous event, as the location was small,
informal, with local musicians and most importantly there was a piano.

Ten years ago, the Portofino Caffe in Northport was the first to
host a regular musical event and because of it's popularity, Opera Night soon
outgrew this charming venue. Once again, we get the chance to recreate the
parlour setting for our wonderful singers, and director/pianist
extraordinaire, Isabella Eredita and cordially invite all those who should
not miss this presentation.

Join us, won't you in our Opera Night Cafe celebrating
great opera sung by great singers. Saturday. May 17th is the date, 7:30 is the
time and 109 Brown's Rd. is the place. $15 Donation. Proceeds will benefit the UUFH and
the Opera Night series.  For more info call 631-261-8808.
