Huntington, New York, December 7, 2012 - To celebrate the 1ST Anniversary of the 9 EAST CONTEMPORARY ART gallery in Huntington, New York, the 9 East Contemporary Artists are pleased to present an exhibition entitled "99: A COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL SMALL WORKS." This comprehensive exhibition of 99 works of art will be on view from December 7, 2012 through January 20, 2013.

A "Meet the Artists Reception" is to be held on December 8 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The 9 East Contemporary Art Exhibition "99: A COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL SMALL WORKS", will feature a wide range of works in concept, media, and style by the 9 artists of the guild:from the formalist, abstract impressionist paintings by Richard Vaux; the detailed, nature inspired colored pencil drawings by Sandra Benny; the pit fired clay carvings of Hugh McElroy's Native American influenced ceramic works; painted works and ceramic panels inspired by colors, textures and rich traditions of her native India by Puneeta Mittal; also, colorful watercolors of imaginary life forms and landscapes inspired by the microscopic world by Ewa K.A. Alvarez. The color photo encaustics by Sandra Carrion and the mixed media Interior/Exterior landscape collages of Sylvia Harnick add an interesting dimension to the exhibition. The provocative digital photographs by Agniezska Serafin-Wozniak and the whimsical, mixed media sculptures of John Fink round out this exciting exhibition.
