Meet Source the Station

Source the Station is the crowdsourced placemaking community for downtown Huntington Station revitalization. Join us in the revitalization on Sourcethestation.com!

Wondering what Source the Station is? While this is the nuts and bolts answer, you won't know the true meaning until you experience it for yourself! Join as at sourcethestation.com, come to our meetups and become a mover and shaker of our community of Huntington Station!

Source the Station is an initiative to ensure that the future of the Huntington Station downtown is vibrant, inspiring and representative of its community’s shared values, based on the triple bottom line of being economically, socially and environmentally sustainable. See the Triple-Bottom-Line Statement.

Our approach is a transparent, inclusionary and fun process, in partnership with Renaissance Downtowns, that allows community members to participate in an innovative crowdsourced placemaking program (sourcing the crowd to make extraordinary places) to realize the vibrant downtown they wish to experience. See the Crowdsourced Placemaking Agreement.

Through this crowdsourced placemaking community you will be able to:

  1. Collaborate with others to revitalize Huntington Station’s downtown, both face-to-face and online.
  2. Become a member of this site to propose, vote/’Like’, discuss and campaign for the ideas you support.
  3. Learn about crowdsourced placemaking and how it will revitalize our downtown.

The goal for this crowdsourced placemaking community is to establish itself as a forward-thinking community that is significant enough to be a valued partner in making major decisions regarding significant downtown investments. See answers to the most frequently asked questions on the project here.

We will continue to collaborate as a community to inspire a downtown that we have a shared passion for! Watch this video to get a sense of who we are and what we do!

They do have the metal inside and they are all the same size. If you are seriously interested I willRead More gladly send you some more pictures. As far as the price, the best I can do is a bundle. Maybe 4 for $100 or 2 for $60. They were looked at by a store owner who wanted to purchase and sell in her store for $50 each. They are very cute, very trendy :)

Do they have the metal inside that held the glass bottles? Are they different sizes? It's hard toRead More tell from the pic. I would definitely buy 2 or 3 but, I wouldn't be able to pay 40.00 each. 20-25 each I can do. Thanks, Karen

I have no idea why the Patch isn't covering any of this. Go Huntington!

I would love to become part of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. However, for a new business itRead More is costly and may not fit into every new business owners budget. May I suggest a provisional 1-year membership at a reduced cost. Once successful the provisional members can give back by supporting other new members.
