Trick-or-Treaters Hit the Streets

Young Huntington residents undeterred by a mere hurricane.

Their numbers might have been diminished but many determined young trick-or-treaters hit the streets of Huntington Wednesday night.

Fairies, fighters, ghouls and monsters knocked on doors darkened by Hurricane Sandy, not an unwillingness to hand out candy. Kids picked their way along streets covered by leaves and storm debris, watched over carefully by parents. And with extra days off from school because of the hurricane, they'll have plenty of time to enjoy the haul.
