Photos: 100 Years of Huntington Lighthouse

Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society marks the structure's 100th anniversary Saturday.

was not the first to guide seafarers in from the Long Island Sound.

It replaced the 55-year-old Lloyd Harbor Lighthouse in 1912 and has been a beacon for harbor dwellers ever since. The lighthouse was automated in 1947 and is now listed on the state and national Register of Historic Places.
