Photos: Parade, Street Fair Add to Holiday Flair

Fire departments bring floats and Santa to the streets of Huntington.

A parade, music, dancing, lots of firefighters and their equipment, young fashion models and, of course, Santa Claus,  filled the streets and sidewalks of Huntington Village Saturday night.

Street performers included several movie characters and youngsters dressed as Christmas presents. After arriving by sleigh at the end of the parade, Santa talked with dozens of youngsters while down the street, dancers performed on stage to Christmas music. Child models took to a short runway, tree lights were turned on simultaneously and Huntington High School alumni lined up outside to buy Blue Devil gear.

Town Supervisor Frank Petrone, along with several members of the Town Council, presided over the event from a viewing stand on Wall Street.
