Marcie Mazzola Run Postponed

Seventh annual run to benefit children's programs to be rescheduled.

The seventh annual Marcie Mazzola run scheduled for April 14 has been postponed.

The 5k race, which benefits several children's programs, usually draws about 800 walkers and runners. It was postponed because of some unexpected events. No new date has been selected.

"Marcie a very vibrant young woman who died in a car accident in her 20s," said Joanne Courtien of the Huntington YMCA, which hosts the race each year. "They're an amazing family. People take something that was a tragedy and turn it" into something good.
