Last Chance for Santa Pictures, LIRR Adds Extra Trains
Dec. 24: 5 Things You Need to Know Today
1. Today is the last day to get pictures with Santa at the Walt Whitman Mall. Get there before 6 p.m. He has a busy night ahead.
2. The and South Huntington public libraries are closed today for Christmas Eve.
3. The LIRR is offering extra trains and discounted fares as an economical and convenient alternative to car travel this Christmas. For holiday travel with the family, up to four children ages 5-11 can ride weekend off peak trains for the advance purchase fare of 75 cents per child each way when accompanied by a fare-paying parent or guardian.
