Jan.14: 5 Things You Need to Know Today

1. Parents, we've put lots of dean's lists on the site today. Add your announcement and brag a little. You know you want to.

2. Go CooCoo and find out where your LIRR train really is and how late it will be.  Huntington restaurateur is the cofounder of the service, which allows people to text a station-to-station request to 266266 (CooCoo)  and receive such information as departure and arrival time, ticket prices and service updates. Given all the snow-induced problems with cancellations and delays, up-to-date information would be welcome.

3. Seniors will be watching an "I Have a Dream" movie in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,  12:45 p.m. at the town It's one of several King events this weekend, including an interfaith service and choir concert featuring prayers from many denominations and 10 Huntington choirs, at St. Hugh of Lincoln Roman Catholic Church on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.

4. It's Wii tournament night at the Young adults--sixth grade and up--are invited to join in Wii games, featuring Super Smash Brothers; 7 p.m. in the program room.
