The 20th annual Great Chefs of Long Island event set for Sunday will benefit Family Service League programs, including those to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The benefit, set for Sunday at the Crest Hollow Country Club, will feature foods from more than 40 restaurants from around Long Island. And Long Island vineyards are contributing wines.
The league will be honoring several individuals and a restaurant group. Michael J. Dowling, president and chief executive officer of the North Shore-LIJ Health System, will receive the Fay J. Lindner Humanitarian Award.
The Reststar Hospitality Group will be receiving FSL’s 2012 Restaurateur of the Year Award.
State Assemb. Philip R. Ramos, D-Central Islip, will receive the league's Government Leadership Award.

The league said funds raised Sunday will go to supporting its counseling and many other services for families suffering because of the hurricane.
The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m.
