Kids Come Out in Force to Hunt for Eggs

Church, parks host pre-Easter Sunday events.

Children raced across lawns, hunting plastic eggs at several locations around Huntington Saturday, the day before Easter.

St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church held its Easter egg hunt at the same time as a bake and flower sale to support a mission to Costa Rica.

At Manor Farm, scores of kids came out to find the eggs scattered across broad spaces. The excitement proved too much for a handful of the youngest who scooped up a few eggs before the official start. Others played games or had their faces painted at the event, which was run by Starlight Experiences.
