Chamber of Commerce Celebrates 85 Years, Dick Cavett at Cinema Arts

1. celebrates 85 years of service in the business community by rolling back the clock to the Roaring '20s during a speakeasy and casino night from 6-11 pm at . The event will also honor Kenneth C. Christensen and James V. Kelly. Call the Chamber for tickets or more information, 631-423-6100.

2. Legendary talk-show host Dick Cavett will be at thetonight for a special evening that will include an interview, audience Q&A session, reception and book signing. The part-time Long Island resident is in town to promote his new book,  Talk Show: Confrontations, Pointed Commentary, and Off-Screen Secrets. Cavett will also conduct an auction to benefit the Cinema.  For tickets or more information, call 631-423-3456.

3. U.S. Rep. Steve Israel, D-NY, and award-winning architect Eduardo Lacroze will both be honored tomorrow night at a Celebrate Achievement fundraiser to benefit exhibitions and educational programs. The fun-filled evening will be held at the museum and has a rock n' roll theme to coincide with the Rock On! Masterworks of Rock Photography exhibit. For ticket information call 631-351-3250.

4. Nassau BOCES Outdoor and Environmental Education Programs is presenting a Glacial Geology workshop today for an in-depth, hands-on exploration of glacial evidence along a north shore beach. Bring your earth science questions! For more informations, call 631-549-0071.

Wind down from the week in a natural way at "A Taste of Peace" tonight from 7-8 pm at the . Resident teacher Holly McGregor will lead a simple guided meditation and teach you how to sustain the beneficial effects throughout the week . Thank you Christina for sharing with the town of Huntington what the patch "SHOULD HAVERead More HIGHLIGHTED" Not really sure why the patch chose not to cover the story. Couldn't be more proud of the boys and all who came out to cheer for our Home Team!!!!

They do have the metal inside and they are all the same size. If you are seriously interested I willRead More gladly send you some more pictures. As far as the price, the best I can do is a bundle. Maybe 4 for $100 or 2 for $60. They were looked at by a store owner who wanted to purchase and sell in her store for $50 each. They are very cute, very trendy :)

I would love to become part of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. However, for a new business itRead More is costly and may not fit into every new business owners budget. May I suggest a provisional 1-year membership at a reduced cost. Once successful the provisional members can give back by supporting other new members.
