A car and a school bus collided at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and Westt 11th Street Monday afternoon.
No students were on the small South Huntington bus, and no one was injured in the crash. The car was pushed onto the lawn of a home on West 11th Street.
Witnesses said the school bus had stopped at a stop sign on Eighth Avenue and was struck by the eastbound car when it pulled onto West 11th Street. The front of bus was damaged.
The homeowner said it was the second time in recent months that a car had crashed onto his lawn; the last accident, he said, occurred at night and took out his entire fence.
