ALS Ride Stops In Huntington

Chris Pendergast and an entourage of volunteers came to Huntington Tuesday to raise funds for ALS research. Known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, the illness robs its victims of muscle strength and ability to move. Pendergast's wife,Christine said the ride will head to several more communities around Long Island before wrapping up Saturday. He is accompanied by other rides and volunteers and Suffolk County police.
The Mr. P playground at Veterans Patk is named for Pendergast.
