LUPINACCI TAKES PART IN STEM DIVERSITY SUMMIT AT FARMINGDALE STATE COLLEGE

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) today took part in the 2014 STEM Diversity Summit at SUNY Farmingdale. The event was intended to help Long Island communities connect, collaborate and ultimately build stronger science technology, engineering and math (STEM) education programs, and included local leaders from the business community, education sector, government and non-profit organizations.

“STEM education is tremendously important to Long Island students, especially if we want our education system to remain a leader in the U.S. and the world,” said Lupinacci. “Events like the 2014 STEM Diversity Summit are a tremendous way to collaborate so we can strengthen STEM teaching and learning as we prepare our young people for the competitive world economy of the 21st Century. I want to thank Farmingdale State College and the local businesses and organizations that helped sponsor the event.”
