LUPINACCI: HELP SUPPORT UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTH SPORTS

This past weekend, Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) stopped by Farmingdale State College to offer support to the Sports Management Club and Sigma Beta Delta’s campaign to aid underprivileged youth. The organizations are teaming with Children’s Sport Connection to raise funds and collect sporting equipment for underprivileged Long Island kids who do not have the equipment to play sports.

“Sports are a valuable part of a child’s education, and encouraging and promoting youth participation helps build smarter and more well-rounded students,” said Lupinacci. “I want to thank the Sports Management Club for its efforts on behalf of our community, and those across Long Island. I’d also like to thank everyone who donated to this very worthy cause.”

“We welcome families, friends and Long Island organizations to help support Children’s Sport Connection,” said PJ Waszkiewicz, President of the Sports Management Club at Farmingdale State College.  “Playing sports can help many children learn valuable life lessons such as discipline, working hard, setting goals, to never give up, and always have fun.”

“Sigma Beta Delta is proud to have this opportunity to help engage Long Island’s youth in healthy and fun activities that will have a positive impact on their lives. Children’s Sport Connection is an outstanding organization and I know the equipment collected will go to assist young people in need right here in our communities,” said Victoria Green, President of Sigma Beta Delta.
