Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently celebrated with the most recent graduates of The Opening Word program. The program helps provide adult participants with English language skills to improve job readiness and foster personal empowerment, increased civic and social responsibility and a greater sense of community.
“The Opening Word program provides its participants with a tremendous education and exceptional integration skills,” said Lupinacci. “Many new and undereducated immigrants struggle to integrate into their new surroundings. Fortunately, the staff at The Opening Word helps them learn the English skills they need to become better prepared to be part of the workforce and increase their civic participation.”
