Lupinacci Celebrates Award Winners at NAACP 35th Anniversary Celebration and Award Program
Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently joined members of the Huntington Chapter of the NAACP for their 35th Anniversary Celebration and Award Program. The event featured keynote speaker Dr. Kenneth A. Card, Jr., Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Huntington Union Free School District. As part of the program, local high school seniors Chanelle Brown (Huntington High School) and Tasia Maldon (Harborfields High School) were awarded scholarships from the chapter.
“I want to congratulate Chanelle and Tasia for their hard work, they are both accomplished and deserving young women,” said Lupinacci. “I would also like to congratulate Mr. Robert Carter and Barry Little, Esq. for reaching the Lifetime Membership with the Huntington Chapter of the NAACP. All the members of the chapter provide an incredible mentorship, service and outreach to the Huntington community. I am proud to call chapter president Betty Miller, and all the members of the Huntington Chapter, my friends and colleagues as we work to build a stronger, more diverse and more accepting community.”
