Vowing to lead the fight to enhance the quality of life on Long Island and foster local job growth, Chad Lupinacci today announced his candidacy for the 10th Assembly District. “I am excited about the opportunity to represent my family, friends, former and current students and the entire community in the New York State Assembly,” said Lupinacci.  “As someone who has lived and worked here my entire life, I possess a thorough understanding of the needs of our residents.  I will utilize my decade of legislative and governmental experience to make Long Island a more affordable place to live and a more attractive place for job creators.”

Lupinacci is currently serving his third term as a trustee of the South Huntington Union Free School District.  During his tenure, the district dramatically improved its graduation rate to well over ninety percent and has maintained an excellent Moody’s credit rating of Aa1.  Lupinacci plans to utilize his school board experience to address the inequities in school funding and to seek mandate relief, both of which would provide tax relief to his constituents.  He previously served as a staff member for Assemblyman Jim Conte as a Community Liaison and also interned with First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, assisting her office with correspondence, speechwriting and scheduling.  He also worked on archiving material for the Clinton Presidential Library.

Suffolk County Conservative Chairman Ed Walsh said, “Chad is an energetic candidate who will run a vigorous campaign that focuses on the issues that matter most to Long Island residents:  lower property taxes, more jobs and an enhanced quality of life for local families and seniors and will represent Long Island well in the State Assembly.”
