After a 117 year history, Freedman's Jewelers will close its doors forever. A brief multi-million dollar going out of business sale will take place before owner Eric Freeman retires from the retail business and the store officially closes.

Mr. Freedman uses the word "retire" rather loosely as he sees his next phase in life to be an ongoing adventure.

"As a person who has had hobbies such as cave diving and extreme sailing, I don't really think that "retire" quite defines where I am heading," Freedman says. "Jewelry is in my blood and in some capacity I will always have a keen interest in gems and the jewelry industry."

Freedman's family story began in 1897 when Freedman Jewelers was first founded by his grandfather Julius Freedman. Three generations later, upon the passing of his father, Barney Freedman, Eric has had the distinct pleasure to carry on in the family's legacy for the past 45 years. Eric has grown the downtown, family business into a highly successful single store operation. He has distinguished himself as a personal jeweler with keen insight into the needs and wants of his customers. Eric has an international reputation as a rare gem dealer and was the past president of the prestigious American Gem Society.

Eric Freedman is reaching deep into his vaults to uncover his international collection for amazing gems and designer jewelry; Emeralds from Columbia, Rubies from Myanmar, and conflict free diamonds.  As a world renowned gemologist who has appraised the famous Hope Diamond and appeared on "Prime Time Live" with Diane Sawyer, he has wellspring of knowledge and a discerning eye for unsurpassed quality.

With direct access to some of the world's finest raw material, Freedman's has been offering rare gems and jewelry at prices that the competition cannot touch. Now is the time to acquire fine jewelry and time pieces at up to 70% off before the store closes forever. Eric invites you to stop by to say goodbye and take advantage of this once in a lifetime purchasing opportunity.
