New Pizza Restaurant Welcomed
Huntington Supervisor Frank P. Petrone and Councilwoman Susan A. Berland recently joined representatives of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce in welcoming Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza to the Peppertree Commons Shopping Center in Commack.
Located at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Town Line Road, the restaurant is the fourth Long Island location and 37th nationwide for the South Florida-based chain that was founded by  Anthony Bruno, who grew up in Franklin Square. The chain boasts a menu of “well done” pizza baked in 800-degree coal ovens, oven-roasted chicken wings, sandwiches and specialties it calls “Italian soul food.”
“Anthony’s is an exciting new addition to the Commack restaurant scene,” Petrone said. “Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza has Long Island roots, and I wish them as much success at this location as they have had at their 36 others.”
