Townwide Fund Names New Executive Director

Mary Timmons rejoins organization after working in Florida.

Mary Timmons has been named executive director of the of Huntington.

“We are very glad that Mary is back on our team and look forward to working together to continue to grow and develop the Townwide Fund,” said Townwide Fund President James T. Powers in a press release Monday.

The executive director position has been vacant at the Townwide Fund for about four years, according to Townwide Fund representatives.

Timmons, the associate director of the organization from 2010-11, returns to Huntington from Florida, where she worked as marketing manager for Pauli of Vienna, a skin care products distributer.

In her new position, Timmons will oversee operations and work with Powers on developing corporate relationships including sponsorships and partnerships while building closer relationships with private and public companies based in the Town of Huntington, according to company officials.

Timmons said one of her first goals as executive director will be raising brand awareness and pursuing new initiatives like the payroll deduction program which allows people to donate to the Townwide Fund through their paychecks.

The former director of public relations for Atlantic Records, Timmons was associated with Rogers & Cowan, an international public relations firm.

Founded in 1961 by private citizens, the Townwide Fund helps provide health and human services to the people and organizations of Huntington, according to the company.
