No Fade to Black for Cinema Arts Centre

Remembering a legend, Vic Skolnick.

Although the film community is saddened by the loss of Cinema Arts c0-founder Vic Skolnick, his enthusiasm, passion and critique of the silver screen continues as witnessed by the hundreds of patrons, artists, and educators who attended the June 19th memorial at Huntington Cinema Arts Centre.

Patch.com spent an afternoon with Cinema Arts co-founder Charlotte Sky, Vic's partner for nearly 60 years and son Dylan Skolnick, the Centre's co-director.  From Vic's unconventional teaching practices, artistic vision and passion for movie-going, Sky and Skolnick discuss the birth of the Centre, it's place in contemporary culture, and the future of film exhibition.
