Tell Us: Celebrating Super Bowl Sunday

Food and fun on game-day schedule.

Football fan or not, you can find ways to enjoy the excitement of Super Bowl Sunday without leaving town.

Here are a few things going on Sunday to get you warmed up and in the mood for the big game, which will air on CBS at 6:30 p.m.

Kick off the day with a different set of sports. The YMCA is running an indoor triathlon from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., to benefit its health and wellness program for cancer survivors. Participants will use the pool, stationary bikes and treadmills to compete.

The Halesite Fire Department is offering a Super Bowl Sunday pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Churches are participating in the collection of food and hygiene items using Super Bowl themes.

Restaurants offering special game day menus have been urging people to order early to ensure prompt delivery.

Instant Replay, Rookies, Meehans and Nag's Head are among the many places that are offering specials for families and devoted sports fans alike.

If you're going out to enjoy the game, be aware that the Suffolk County law enforcement organizations are adding extra DWI patrols.
