Sitar Demolition Coming 'Within a Couple of Months,' Agency Says

Real estate firm says Huntington Station site selling for $750,000 but building will come down.

Demolition of the blighted former Sitar restaurant is expected "within the next couple of months," according to Stephen R. Preuss, who is handling the sale of the site.

His agency, Massey Knakal Realty Services, has the exclusive listing for the property at 665 Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station. The restaurant closed in 2008.

The roughly half-acre site, selling for $750.000, has been the subject of many complaints as the building has deteriorated since its closing.
