Readers’ Choice: Best Tax Preparer in Huntington

Keep the taxman at bay by choosing the right expert.

April is tax season. Everyone has a method for filing taxes. It’s as limitless as the deductions you can claim.

Many choose to go it alone and prepare their own taxes. And there’s always your brother-in-law, who your wife swears is good with numbers.

But for those who don’t, there’s an army of professionals – from CPAs, attorneys and accountants to tax preparers – who know the tax code and can navigate the e-file process for you.

Better make that appointment now. Personal income tax returns are due Tuesday, April 17.

Time to weigh in. Huntington Patch is looking to unearth the best tax preparer in town. Readers’ Choice is a new weekly feature where we ask you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.

Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s tax preparers – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.

Wednesday we’ll narrow the field, taking your recommendations to put to a vote in the ultimate flat tax poll.

The following week we’ll announce our winner.

Our nominees:

  • H&R Block, 1797 New York Avenue, Huntington Station
  • Liberty Tax Service, Huntington Station

They do have the metal inside and they are all the same size. If you are seriously interested I willRead More gladly send you some more pictures. As far as the price, the best I can do is a bundle. Maybe 4 for $100 or 2 for $60. They were looked at by a store owner who wanted to purchase and sell in her store for $50 each. They are very cute, very trendy :)

Do they have the metal inside that held the glass bottles? Are they different sizes? It's hard toRead More tell from the pic. I would definitely buy 2 or 3 but, I wouldn't be able to pay 40.00 each. 20-25 each I can do. Thanks, Karen

I would love to become part of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. However, for a new business itRead More is costly and may not fit into every new business owners budget. May I suggest a provisional 1-year membership at a reduced cost. Once successful the provisional members can give back by supporting other new members.
