Paramount Hosting Hurricane Benefit Thursday

'Strong Island' concert features The Script and others, to aid LI Red Cross.

The Paramount will host a  “Strong Island Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert”  Thursday to assist the Long Island Red Cross.

The show, headlined by The Script, will include other special guests, to be announced. The Dublin musicians, who were originally scheduled to play theater on Dec. 5, rescheduled their show to assist Long Island, the Paramount said.

All ticketholders for The Script, on their original concert date of Dec. 5, are encouraged to attend the benefit concert on Thursday night using their same tickets.  Any ticketholders that are unable to attend The Script concert on Thursday night may receive a refund on their original tickets at their point of purchase.

“As fellow Long Islanders, The Paramount wants to help our neighbors devastated by this terrible hurricane.  We would like to thank The Script, and the other special guests, for responding to our request in creating this amazing benefit show”, the Paramount said.  Radio teams from WALK, WBLI, KJOY, WRCN, WPLJ, PARTY 105 and others, will help promote the concert.

All tickets for this benefit concert are on sale now through Ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000 or The Paramount Box Office (open daily from 12 noon – 6pm).  Information on VIP packages, preferred seating, corporate sponsorships and additional ways to donate are available by calling 631-673-7300.  Doors will open at 7p.m.
