Jets Fans: The Best Places in Huntington to Eat and Enjoy the AFC Championship Game

If you're looking to watch the Jets playoff game with your entire family, we've got some places that have the game on while also providing a fun afternoon for kids of all ages.

Gang Green – are you ready for some football? If you plan on venturing out of your home to watch the Jets take on the Steelers in their first chance to play in the Super Bowl since the 1960s, Huntington has a variety of places for you to spend the afternoon.

We’ve rounded up a list of several places for families, couples and singles to enjoy the game, food and drink specials, and the company of fellow fans.

This bowling alley is fully equipped with high-def screens throughout the location, according to an employee at the location. The screens will be tuned to the game throughout the day, and it’s a great place to bring your kids to play a round (or two) of bowling which you enjoy the drink specials – $3 Miller Light and Coors Light draft pitchers – and you all enjoy the wings and nachos specials – $19.99 for 25 wings and $34.99 for 50 wings, which come in two varieties, peppercorn and buffalo. The location in Melville is open from 10 a.m. to midnight on Sunday.

This popular nightlife location in the heart of Huntington Village also features an NFL special – with three jumbo projector screens and two high definition screens behind the bar. They have a variety of draft and drink specials, which can be viewed here, as well as raffles and giveaways. This may be a better location for a group of singles instead of bringing the kids along, but there are many more family-friendly places to come.

TGI Fridays

This Huntington Station restaurant has a variety of televisions – all of which will be set to the game, employee Robert Burns said ­– and bar specials, which are not accessible to diners in the dining room, Burns said. The bar specials include $5 full size cheeseburger and fries, $3 Michelob Ultra, $5 and $6 Margarita specials, and $4 Little Black Dress Merlot specials.  Burns said expect a loud crowd and advised customers to “get excited” for a variety of drink specials, for the Super Bowl.

Instant Replay

This Huntington Station sports bar has 56 TVs that will be tuned to the Jets game, plus a variety of drinks and wing specials. Check their Facebook page for updates.

Meehan's has 12 televisions, and $5 light house pint specials for the game on Sunday, they're open 11:30 a.m. to 4 a.m.

Rookies’ Sports Club in Huntington Village is a great place for groups of singles to go – if you’re six or more you can reserve a table by calling 631-924-0424. Their special includes a dozen wings (which they offer in a variety of flavors) and a draft pitcher Miller or Coors for $14.99. Sundays they are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. They have two projection screens and televisions at their booths, plus plenty of high-def televisions spread throughout the bar.

Applebee’s

Also in Huntington Station, this restaurant has specials from 10 a.m. to close. They have half-price appetizers, 2 for 1 beer and drink specials, 25 cent wings and $1 sliders.
