Evening to Benefit Michael Fox Foundation

Brooks Brothers store at Whitman mall to donate portion of Oct. 10 sales to Parkinson's research.

Brooks Brothers at Walt Whitman Shops is hosting two hours of shopping accompanied by cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as part of a benefit for the Michael J. Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

The Oct. 10 event, which will run from 7 to 9 p.m., will channel 25 percent of sales to the foundation.

Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991 and semi-retired in 2000 but recently returned to TV.

The Golden Fleece Foundation, a nonprofit created by Brooks Brothers in 2007, supports numerous charitable organizations.
