Empty in Huntington: Former Auto Dealership Showroom

Walk down Main Street or drive down Route 110 in Huntington Station and you will notice some vacant storefronts adorned with "For Rent" signs, a possible indication of the hard times the area — and country — are facing.

The Town of Huntington hasembarked on a  to spark economic growth in the area and fill empty sites with businesses and housing.

Huntington Patch will spotlight empty properties to foster discussion in the community on what can, should and could be done to rehab abandoned places.

This week's property is a vacated space at the corner of Jericho Turnpike and West Hills Road in South Huntington. The building formerly housed a Tom Rice Buick-Pontiac GMC showroom.
