Best Market to Move Into Waldbaum's Space

New supermarket expected to open by May.

The vacant Waldbaum's store in Huntington Station will reopen as a Best Market in May.

Jonathan Sender, spokesman for the Best Yet Market chain, said, "We're definitely going to refresh" the Turnpike Plaza store, which Waldbaum's occupied for about 40 years. "We’re all about fresh, from delis to fresh cuts of  meat, and bakeries. We’re a full-service market, with dairy and frozen items, and bring great values."

"All our stores are growing rapidly," he said."We're looking for a really good workforce. We have job fairs every Wednesday" at its corporate headquarters in Bethpage. He said the chain is looking to expand further on Long Island, and is also moving into a vacant Waldbaum's in Patchogue.
