Microsoft opened a retail shop Friday at Walt Whitman Shops, just two doors dow from the Apple store's temporary quarters.
The grand opening of the bright and colorful Microsoft store featured revved-up employees, an evening Taio Cruz and John Legend concert (which eventually had to move indoors because of lightning) and lots of people standing in line waiting to get in.
The proximity of the stores makes for an intriguing question: Given the choice of two major lines, which store will draw you in? Are you an Apple fanboy? Or do you prefer the quieter Windows approach?
