Take a Boating Class and remember Life jackets shouldn't be overlooked when out on the water.
The slogan, “Safe Boating is no Accident,” encourages every boat skipper to become involved with the safe boating process by enrolling in a boating class, but the process does not stop there. Safe boating is a family affair and together the learning process can not only provide the entire crew with valuable information, but become a fun and learning experience for all.
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 22-1 will be offering ABOUT BOATING SAFELY, This beginner boating class will give you the knowledge that meets NYS PWC safety certificate. Also meets safety certificate requirements for NYS Young Adults - 10- 17
- Many boat insurance companies will offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete About Boating Safely.
- An 8 hour boating safety course is required to operate a Personal Water Craft (Jet Ski) for all persons in New York State waters. You will immediately obtainment the certificate required to operate PWC upon successful completion of the course
Complete the course in only 2 nights Tuesday, July 31 and Wednesday, August 1, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. @ Halesite Fire Department, on New York Avenue, Huntington, NY 11743
